when the current queen, alicia du coeur, took power after her mother's "death", she quickly grew irritated and suspicious of clara, who never fully fell in lockstep with alicia's goals. alicia threw clara into the castle dungeon to keep her out of the way, where clara had no choice to stay until freedom fighters stormed the castle and broke her out.

kind and intelligent, but her trauma at the hands of queen alicia have left her timid and petrified of speaking her mind. obsessively cleans her surroundings and is always cooking to keep her mind off of things.
