Abilities.

Natural Abilities.

Chlorokinesis is the ability to manipulate and control plant life. Keyshia is able to control any plant in the immediate vicinity and grow new ones anywhere she wants, including her own body. She has had this power since infancy, so this is the power she is most comfortable using. The only thing limiting this power is her own knowledge – she can only grow plants she has personally come in contact with.

Keyshia can summon a set of butterfly-esque wings that enables her to fly with little problem. These wings are mainly composed of magic, and can easily phase through clothes.

The term “glamour” is used in reference to magic that messes with one’s perception – either of objects, surroundings, or other people. Most fae use their glamour for, if nothing else, disguising themselves when mingling with other beings. Since the only other beings Keyshia actively seeks out are humans, and her being half-human takes care of the “disguising” part, she never bothered developing her glamour past turning things and people invisible.

Pact-making is an innate ability of most fae. Another being (usually a human) approaches the fae with a wish. If the fae decides to grant it, then the other being must repay the fae with a favor or the wish will undo itself. It’s been determined that Keyshia does have this ability, but she has no training for it, no idea how it works, and no desire to find out.

Magical Skills.

Aura sensing is the ability to perceive the energy around other beings. Keyshia can tell if a person or being is magical or not, although she's left to guess exactly how much magic a being has. This ability is also part of the reason why she is an adept Healer – she has trained herself to feel echoes of her patient's aches and pains to better pinpoint where to apply her magic.

Healing – relieving people of their injuries and illnesses – is the ability Keyshia is most proud of, and the skill she’s worked on the most. She can pinpoint and heal most injuries, including major wounds and broken bones, and can alleviate the symptoms of most diseases. However, using this power drains her. The more she heals, the longer she needs to rest to recover her magic.

Photokinesis – the ability to bend and manipulate light at will – is an ability all Seelie Court fae share. Keyshia can create small balls of light to illuminate her surroundings… and that’s about it. Not very useful, but at least she’ll never need a flashlight.

Potion-making is a skill she picked up during her Healer apprenticeship. She can make several types of potions if given the recipe; however, her specialty is healing-based potions – antidotes, medicines, and salves.

As a side effect of putting all of her skill points into healing, Keyshia has developed a healing factor. It’s slow as far as healing factors go, but she still recovers from wounds and illnesses noticeably faster than other people

Mundane Skills.

Keyshia has been extensively trained in first aid. Her skills include – but are not limited to – cleaning and dressing wounds, performing CPR, and treating shock.

History.

Keyshia Fields was born on Earth to an eccentric mother and a hardworking father. She spent her formative years in a small house in a small town in relative peace, living as normal a life as she could. The peace was shattered when Keyshia turned 16 – her father died of a sudden, mysterious illness, and her mother, Naseile Allwood, revealed her true heritage: a fae of the Seelie Court. As Keyshia’s father was being laid to rest, Keyshia’s mother had whisked her and her daughter away to the Fae realm.

Keyshia could call her early days in the realm in one word: hell. Her father’s death weighed heavily on her, and the sudden move only exacerbated her grief. Most members of the Court kept their distance from her, wary of her human heritage. Naseile, now suddenly invested in Keyshia’s upbringing, threw her into studies of magic and etiquette and history and whatever else, paying no heed to how overwhelmed Keyshia quickly became. There were very few days where she wasn't absolutely miserable.

Nevertheless, a bright spot soon appeared. Keyshia had landed a spot in a Healer apprenticeship, and threw everything she had into it. Keyshia met her soulmate, a famous Champion named Seriace Sunsail, while shadowing another Healer, and they had clicked almost instantly. With Seriace’s help, Keyshia had passed her final exam and finished her apprenticeship with ease. As soon as Keyshia got her hands on her license, she moved out of her mother's manor and into an apartment in the city with Seriace.

Keyshia and Seriace's relationship slowly turned romantic, and they were married some time later. Around the same time, their respective careers took off: Keyshia began making a name for herself as a powerful Healer, and Seriace's adventures and exploits continued to garner her fame. There were ups and downs in their relationship, but Keyshia loved Seriace to death, and Seriace remained steadfast and loyal. Keyshia could not remember a time where she had been happier. Unfortunately, her stay in the Fae realm was about to end an abrupt, violent way.

In the depths of the realm, an evil being was making its march towards the Court, summoning thousands of minions and monsters in its wake. During Keyshia and Seriace's anniversary party, it struck with all the force it had, catching everyone off-guard. Its minions swarmed the venue, attacking anyone and everyone they found.

When the being itself set its sights on Keyshia, she had no chance. Despite her valiant efforts to defend herself, the being beat her to a weakened, bloody pulp. Seriace stumbled upon the attack and managed to beat the being away, but the being let loose a deadly attack on the couple before Seriace could finish it off.

It was only afterwards, while Keyshia was recuperating in the hospital, that she had learned what happened next. Reinforcements came, but they were too late. The venue had been razed to the ground, many Court members were dead or critically injured, and neither Naseile nor the being could be found. As for Seriace, the being's last attack ended up crippling her, and she would need months, if not years of rehabilitation.

The elders summoned Keyshia to their headquarters after she was released, needing to discuss important business with her. They believed Naseile had been the being's true target, and that there was a chance Keyshia was still in danger, so they needed a way to ensure her safety. After  tons and back and forth, it was decided that Keyshia would return to Earth and stay in one of its sanctuary cities and lay low until the elders gave the OK.

Now staying in Vivariiium, Keyshia's doing her level best to rebuild her life. She's glad to be back on Earth but wishes desperately that her return was on better terms, and she keeps her hopes up for Seriace's recovery.

Deciding to see where this route would take her, Magnolia has taken to the streets, making quite the name for herself and attracting the attention of friend and foe alike.
